    Research interests

I am passionate about the Earth and specifically how our coastlines evolve over time. My research has focused on using numerous methods including numerical modeling, machine learning, remote sensing, and field data to assess coastal change on storm to interannual scales. I have also performed research that was focused on how human modifications of the coastal zone lead to significant changes in dune and beach morphology over time, and what the ramifications of those modifications are during storm impacts. I am currently leveraging the findings of this research to validate and improve upon forecasts of total water level and coastal change
