Description

Stony Brook University plans to join the existing multi-university Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Information Protection. The membership in this center will significantly enhance its strength in a number of areas, including software security, database and information security, intrusion detection, vulnerability analysis, trust management, and intrusion recovery response. The role played by the industrial members in selecting research project will ensure that problems with practical impact are addressed. This will help product targeted research with strong commercialization possibilities, leading to better and more secure consumer software products.
