Abstract

At present, electric power industry is in a period of rapid development and the assessment of regional power development captures growing attention. Through the evaluation process, we can deepen the understandings of regional development ability and puts forward suggestions for the further development. However, the understanding of regional power development is still at the perceptual level now and it need to be quantified. Considering the features of the power development evaluation, this paper presents an evaluation model to quantify the power development which contains the principal components analysis, a clustering method adaptive to the change of local density, self-determined evaluation and dynamic evaluation. Then we apply it to an assessment index system of power development. The evaluation results demonstrate that (1) the evaluation model can meet the requirements of power development evaluation and that (2) the evaluation results can reflect the characteristics and whole level of regional power development.
