Abstract

This paper presents low-complexity lookup based architecture for noise generation of different distribution. The noise generator is very efficient for VLSI implementation. It generates random addresses of the noise samples stored in ROM using LFSR. In this paper, we compare the complexity and performance of the proposed noise generator with those of the generators that are explained in the literatures. This noise generator is suitable for integration with complex filtering applications such as in particle filters.
