Abstract
Industry is in the process of turning to more environmentally benign practices throughout each stage of manufacturing, irrespective of product type. Such diverse industries as automotive, aerospace, electronics and bioengineering are currently pursuing the development of new environmentally benign corrosion protective coatings. In this brief review we discuss but a few of the available technologies which have been developed. Some of these technologies will be discussed at length throughout these proceedings.
