Abstract
Upon completion of the chapter, the student will be able to: 1. Identify the hematologic changes associated with aging. 2. Distinguish the initial workup for each of the different morphologic types of anemia. 3. Understand the diagnostic features and therapeutic options of common anemias in older adults.
