Application of Koenig's Theorem to Model Reduction

Abstract

Koenig's generalized theorem for the convergence of the poles of Pade approximants is used to determine the minimum magnitude real and complex conjugate roots of nth-order polynomials. This is then used for the reduction of linear time-invariant systems.
