Approximate treatment of two soliton solutions of the sine-Gordon equation

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The so called breather solution of the sine-Gordon equation is phenomenologically described by an appropriately choosen potential acting between two particles. For some applications the method proves to be equivalent to other classical and quantum calculations.
