Abstract

We prove the PLP-tauberian theorem, a generalization of the Hardy-Littlewood tauberian theorem for polynomial log-periodic growth laws. We use this to show that the intermittency present in linear nonresonant boolean delay equations is due to log-periodic DeBruijn oscillations. In another paper we use this fact to construct deterministic white noise. We have also used the PLP-tauberian theorem in models of homogeneous fluid turbulence.
