title = "Brookhaven's accelerator test facility: A testbed for advanced particle accelerators and lasers",
abstract = "As a flagship DOE facility for Accelerator R\&D Stewardship, the Brookhaven National Laboratory Accelerator Test Facility (ATF) supports proposal-driven user research across a range of areas, including novel plasma-based, laser-driven acceleration techniques and long-wave infrared (LWIR), picosecond, high-peak-power lasers. The ATF is currently advancing its LWIR laser capabilities toward achieving the multi-terawatt, femtosecond regime - a significant milestone in this spectral domain. We report recent progress in this pioneering work and highlight opportunities for user engagement and collaboration, including with the defense and security research communities.",
