Abstract
We argue that high energy nuclear collisions cannot be described by the "independent NN collision" models. In particular, secondary pions definitely should have multiple rescattering, and only by taking them into account, may one understand such observations as large "pion source" radius and the "cool component", seen in the pion spectra at small p⊥.
