Cavity-enhanced ultrafast spectroscopy: Ultrafast meets ultrasensitive

Abstract

Using a frequency comb laser and optical cavities, we introduce a new technique for performing femtosecond time-resolved optical spectroscopy with high sensitivity. We present transient absorption measurements with a noise level of δOD= 2×10-10.
