Abstract
This report presents an introduction to the computational fluid dynamic (CFD) technique, with an emphasis on the relevance to the HVAC&R industry. To accomplish this, the CFD procedure is defined and the typical questions answered by a CFD analysis listed. The advantages of CFD over physical experiments are discussed, as is the growing popularity of the method and the obvious applications in the HVAC&R industry.
