Charmonium states in the quark-gluon plasma

Abstract

The possibility that cc states remain bound even in the QCD plasma state is examined. Assuming that these states do exist, we calculate the thermal width due to the process JDD and show that low-lying states might be detected. The relevance of this to heavy-ion experiments is discussed.
