Chiral nonlinear σ models as models for topological superconductivity

Abstract

An overview is given on models of topological superconductivity, where fermionic currents are dynamically coupled with topological textures of chiral bosonic fields. It is shown that the superconducting state in these models emerges in the phase with an unbroken chiral symmetry.
