Coherent shaping of photons using electromagnetically induced transparency

Abstract

We demonstrate a quantum interconnect based on storage of light that enables the arbitrary shaping of the temporal properties of incoming coherent pulses. By shaping the retrieving control field, we achieve any predetermined temporal profile.
