Abstract
Peptic Ulcer disease (PUD) was a disease which had previously been managed surgically in most cases. This has decreased in recent years with the development of effective medical management with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and histamine-2 (H2) blockers. However, these procedures had complications and risks which have led to several important complications that all clinicians should be able to know and identify. These include dumping syndrome, diarrhea, gastric stasis, bile reflux, and Roux syndrome.
