Abstract

The synthesis and composition of crystalline Ca1-xSr xTiO3 perovskite nanoparticles were discussed. The molten salt synthesis (MSS) method, in which a solid-state reaction takes place between metal oxalates and anatase TiO2 in a molten NaCl medium at 820°C in the presence of a nonionic surfactant, was used for the purpose. The composition of the resulting nanoparticles is tunable by adjusting the ratio of the reactants. The crystallinity and purity of the five as-synthesized CST samples were detected using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique.
