Abstract
The availability of monoclonal antibodies recognizing antigenic determinants on human T cells has made possible immunologic monitoring in patients following renal transplantation. The present study compares the effects of 'conventional' therapy (Azathioprine/Prednisone (AZA-P)) with those of cyclosporine and Prednisone (CSA-P) in renal allograft recipients. Lymphocyte subsets and natural killer (NK) cell levels were analyzed and compared in these groups of patients.
