Abstract

Digital image conferencing opens an integrative communication avenue within the clinical research community, which facilitates collaboration between scientific and clinical groups. Videoconferencing adds the possibility of simultaneously viewing the same data without the need to sit at the same desk. The tools for active data collaboration and capabilities of multiscreen systems are still evolving, but, Internet-based videoconferencing has become a viable means for on-site, off-site and multisite video communication with reasonable costs involved and satisfactory quality.
