Abstract

The first asymptotically free models with dynamical symmetry breaking of the extended gauge groups G_LR and G₂₂ were constructed. The resultant models involve higher unification, and G₄₂₂ has the appeal of quantizing electric charge. These models naturally explain why (i)G_LR and G₄₂₂ break to G_SM, and (ii) this breaking occurs at the scales ∧_LR, ∧_PS ≫ m_W,Z.
