Abstract
An obvious prerequisite to valid remodelling rule testing is the accurate determination of the full-field stress and strain distributions throughout the ulna. Although, previous finite element (FE) analyses have given little attention to constitutive and geometrical modelling simplifications. In this study, the objective is to determine how these modelling simplifications influence FE solutions for the turkey ulna model, under two distinct loading regimes currently used in experimental adaptive remodelling studies.
