Abstract
Supervisors rated 106 subordinates' use of 5 conflict resolution strategies identified by R. R. Blake and J. S. Mouton (1964). The relationship between the commitment measures and conflict resolution strategies depended on the sexual composition of the supervisor-subordinate dyad. For example, males reporting to females used smoothing, compromise, and confrontation when they were committed to the position. (8 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved).
