Abstract
This chapter devises a generalized eigenanalysis methodology for time-delayed networked microgrids (NMs) incorporating heterogeneous delays. The main contributions include (1) it devises a universal delayed dynamic model for NMs under distributed control; (2) it quantifies the impacts of heterogeneous delays on NMs stability through an ordinary-differential-equation-based solution operator discretization-based eigensolver; and (3) it offers insights into the effects of cyber and physical interconnections on NMs’ stability performance. The efficiency and efficacy of the delayed eigenanalysis are thoroughly validated on our high-fidelity, real-time RTDS models for NMs.
