Abstract
A direct and simple technique is presented for computing the impulse response of two-dimensional digital filters described by their transfer function. The method is shown to be a direct extension of the technique for computing the impulse response of one-dimensional digital filters. It is easily extended to multi-input/multi-output two-dimensional digital filters. Examples are given to illustrate the various concepts.
