Abstract

The general relativistic transport and hydrostatic equations were solved to obtain the benchmark calculation with quarks. The observations in current and planned detectors were used to study metastability in proto-neutron (PNS) stars and the subsequent collapse of the star to a black hole. The results showed that stars with quarks depicted metastability intermediate time scales between those containing hyperons and kaon condensates.
