Abstract
A light weight, single-antenna 94 GHz radar was designed, constructed, tested and operated for the observation of clouds at the Rosenstiel School of the University of Miami. Some of the fair-weather cumulus observations made with the radar were analyzed. The excellent sensitivity and high temporal and spatial resolutions useful for a unique description of the in-cloud dynamics were demonstrated.
