Abstract

An overview is given on the operation of the staged electron laser acceleration (STELLA) at the Brookhaven National Laboratory Accelerator Test Facility (ATF). To date, STELLA has shown that it is possible to resynchronize optically bunched electrons with a laser wave in a controlled manner.
