FLORIDA ENGINEERING EDUCATION DELIVERY SYSTEM.

The Florida Engineering Education Delivery System (FEEDS) is a cooperative effort in the delivery of quality graduate and continuing education off-campus by all of the universities in the State University System of Florida. The authors present a summary of the highlights of FEEDS. More than 1,300 engineers registered for over 125 graduate engineering courses through the FEEDS during academic year 1983-84. The demand for graduate courses through the FEEDS was continued to grow, e. g. for the 1985 Fall semester, the FEEDS had 1,296 students enrolled in 94 courses, a 44% increase over Fall 1984. The origin, organization, and services of the FEEDS program are reviewed. The system combines the equivalent of five engineering colleges; civil, computer, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering.
