N2 - The quantum vacuum becomes unstable in the presence of an event horizon; a famous example of that is quantum evaporation of black holes. In this talk I speculate that the universal and apparently thermal character of hadron production in various processes may originate in the decay of the QCD vacuum induced by a pulse of strong chromo-electric field.
