Abstract
Inelastic hadron interactions at high energies are accompanied by a pulse of a strong chromo-electric field. This field leads to the decay of QCD vacuum which proceeds through the emission of partons with a thermal spectrum. In a semi-classical treatment, the effective temperature of the spectrum is determined by the acceleration of partons in the classical chromo-electric field, in accord with the general arguments given by Hawking and Unruh.
