Abstract
The measurement of hydrate formation and decomposition data using a high-pressure cell is discussed. The cell, a 0.5L liquid-level gage retrofitted for hydrate formation, contains a 71 CM 2 window to allow for easy visual observation of hydrates. The unit is used to complete the baseline methane hydrate formation kinetic study. The data derives in the study is converging with the literature data reported for pure water-methane hydrates.
