Abstract
The purpose of this report is to describe a method whereby laparoscopic techniques may be used in the diagnosis of the etiology of a large intra-abdominal mass in a child. The technique allowed for adequate procurement of tissue for all required tests under direct visualization. Further, the rapid recovery allowed early initiation of chemotherapy. This technique allows for rapid visualization and the ability to control bleeding, and the minimally invasive nature allows speedy recovery and continuation of therapy.
