Abstract
Quantization around the chiral solitons of the Skyrme model is carried out in the weak-coupling regime, using the semi-classical approximation. Kπ = 0+and Kπ = 1± multimeson states are explicitly constructed in the B = 1 topological sector. Phase-shift results show clear evidence of two odd-parity resonances in the Kπ = 1- channel around 715 and 1580 MeV excitation energy. This strongly suggests a multimeson scenario for the description of the low-lying odd-parity resonances of the nucleon and Δ(1232). No resonance was found in the Kπ = 0+and 1+ channels.
