Abstract
The g factor of the (10+) isomeric level [τ12=357(4) nsec, E=6.527 MeV] in Fe54 has been measured to high precision as g=0.7281(10). Possible corrections due to the paramagnetic nature of the Fe atom were avoided by utilizing the strong internal field in Fe metal for the measurement. NUCLEAR REACTIONS Sc45[C12,2n,p]Fe54(10+), pulsed beam W(θ,t,H) deduced g(10+).
