Abstract
A videotape mounting technique was presented to curve its surface to a specific shape. The magnetized videotape was used to reflect the Cs atoms. The results showed that videotapes can be used as high quality atom reflector for grazing-incidence atom optics. It was also found that such reflectors can deflect a travelling atomic beam by multiple reflections in a whispering-gallery geometry.
