Memory Training

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

Memory training regimes provide a potentially exiting avenue by which older adults could alleviate some of the negative cognitive effects associated with aging. However, there are many important issues to consider before being sold on memory training as a viable intervention. This entry will explore some of these issues and the approaches that have been leveraged to address these shortcomings. Future work in this area will further our understanding of the potential for instantiating far-reaching effects of memory training, and, more importantly, real-world benefits from this sort of intervention.
