N2 - Because of the superior beam manipulating performances, MEMS mirrors have a significant impact on the development of laser scanning endoscopy. Here, we report the design and modification of an MEMS-based endoscopic optical coherence tomography (EOCT) and the applications in the imaging and diagnosis of bladder cancers. Results of normal porcine bladders and rat bladder cancers will be presented, demonstrating the potential of this new technique for clinical use to noninvasively diagnose early epithelial cancers such as in the bladder and many other internal organs.
