Abstract
We show that in metal-dielectric core-shell nanoparticles, unusually thick dielectric coatings produce extreme fluorescence e nhancement w ith e nhancement factor F¯ & 3000 for emitters located near Au@dielectric spherical particles under realistic conditions.
