Abstract
The middle atmosphere (from the tropopause to an altitude of 100km) is a complex region where both dynamics and composition are affected by tropospheric forcing from below and by energetic inputs from above. Stratospheric warmings are connected to tropospheric planetary wave fluxes and the circulation of the middle atmosphere can alter ozone amounts in the stratosphere and nitric oxide amounts in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere.-L.F.Musk
