Modal analysis of coherent linear photonic crystal VCSEL arrays

Abstract

Formalism from Young's two-pinhole experiment is used to study the lasing modes of coupled 2x1 photonic crystal vertical cavity laser arrays. The eigenmodes of the system as well as the coherence change with injection current.
