Abstract

A report on the nature of strain-induced structures in natural and synthetic rubbers under stretching was presented in the article. In situ synchrotron x-ray diffraction study on vulcanized natural and synthesized rubbers at their maximum strains at 0°C was carried out. It was found that the majority of the molecules remain in the unoriented amorphous state, even at their maximum strains.
