Abstract

Cleaning up: A cubic thorium borate possesses a porous supertetrahedral cationic framework with extraframework borate anions. These anions are readily exchanged with a variety of environmental contaminants (see picture), especially those from the nuclear industry, including chromate and pertechnetate. (Figure Presented)
