Abstract

The three-dimensional subwavelength structure of a scattering medium was reconstructed from power excitation measurements. Improved resolution was made possible by the use of evanescent waves as illumination. A solution to the linearized near-field inverse scattering problem was obtained without measurement of the optical phase. In general, the approach taken provided an analytic solution.
