NIRS-specific adaptation of the general linear model for statistical mapping of brain activity

Abstract

Analysis methods such as Statistical Parametric Mapping were developed for functional MRI and require subtle but important modifications for proper application to optical NIRS data. We describe the NIRS formulation of the general linear model.
