Abstract

A theoretical study of nondispersive magnetostatic-forward-volume-wave (MSFVW)propagation in a triple-YIG-film-layered structure has been performed. Adjacent YIG films in the structure are assumed to be grown in direct contact with eachother, and a ground plane is placed parallel to the layered structure and at a sufficient spacing from it so that the conductive loss is small. Computations based on employing quazioptimized nondispersive MSFVW propagation results for a double-YIG-film-layered structure and examining the modifications of these results caused by the presence of the third film show a significant improvement in the level of delay ripple and thereby on the bandwidth for nondispersive propagation corresponding to a low-levelspecification on the delay ripple.
