Abstract
Metal air batteries capture their cathode material (oxygen) from the atmosphere and are appealing due to their theoretically high energy density. However, to realize this high capacity, improvement of the oxygen reaction kinetics is needed. A novel composite air cathode strategy is presented, along with resulting improvement in oxygen reduction activity.
