Abstract

The section on “Oceanographic Sampling and Measurements” in the Elsevier Earth Systems and Environmental Sciences Reference Module presents articles that describe in detail the ways in which oceanographers collect samples of ocean water, particles and sediments for analysis, and how measurements of parameters that help characterize the ocean as a physical, biological and chemical system.
