Off-midline hernias, including lumbar and flank hernias, present unique challenges in both diagnosis and surgical management. Understanding the anatomy of the abdominal wall is paramount for successful repair and preventing recurrence. This textbook chapter comprehensively explores the anatomy of the abdominal wall, emphasizing the structural components and vulnerabilities contributing to off-midline hernias.
