Abstract
The algorithms that automatically annotate HTML documents with semantic lables are studied. OntoMiner offers automated techniques for creating ontologies based on a small collection of relevant Web sites. OntoMiner constructs specialized domain ontologies by organizing and mining a set of user-supplied taxonomy-directed Web sites. OntoMiner attains a precision of 80 percent and recall of more than 90 percent for taxonomies, labels, and values of their instances.
